Orientation and Welcome Weekends for International Students „Stay Smooth“
You are an international student at Martin-Luther-Universität Halle-Wittenberg and you have just arrived. You are about to encounter new knowledge, new people, and a new academic environment. To make your stay as beneficial and enjoyable as possible, we would like to invite you to our Welcome and Orientation Weekends at the beginning of the new academic year.
This weekend gives you the opportunity to meet other international students, to think about your aims and goals, and to organize your stay so that you will have a good start and can make the best of your time here.
Our interactive workshop consists of discussions, exercises and simulations that provide you with practical knowledge on what it means to be an international student in Halle and on how to find your way around. Of course, there is no magic recipe to make everything perfect. But there are some strategies that can help you to stay smooth. We address different topics that range from your first impressions and expectations, over grappling with language to daily challenges.
