  • The general requirement to wear a mask in the city center has been lifted.
  • The mask requirement has been lifted for local and long-distance public transport.

Vaccination

Where can I get a vaccination?

Vaccinations against the Corona virus are primarily carried out by physicians in private practice (Hausärzte) or pharmacies.

The vaccination centres of the city of Halle (Saale) were closed on 30 December 2022.

The Kassenärztliche Vereinigung Sachsen-Anhalt (Saxony-Anhalt Association of Statutory Health Insurance Physicians) has published a list of physicians in private practice in Halle where an appointment can be made for a Covid 19 vaccination. An identification document and health insurance chip card must be brought to the vaccination appointment.

Before making an appointment for vaccination, it should be clarified with a physician in private practice (Hausarzt) whether Covid 19 vaccination may be carried out (e.g. if there are pre-existing conditions).
Physicians in private practice can be found via the doctor search on the website of the Association of Statutory Health Insurance Physicians   .

Pharmacies that provide vaccinations againt covid-19 in Halle (Saale) can be found on the website of the German Pharmacists Association (DAV).

Behaviour in case of Corona symptoms

When corona symptoms appear, it is important to behave accordingly in order to protect other people from infection. If you are at risk of infection, you should therefore minimise or avoid contact with other people. You can also take a quick test or self-test.

Mind the list of the Robert-Koch-Institut about the classification of each country regarding it to be an area of high risk or a virus variant area. The list can be found here.
