MLU Newcomers Club

The MLU Newcomers Club is back!

After a pause due to the pandemic, we are excited to relaunch the Newcomers Club (NCC). Since its founding in 2015, the NCC has been a welcoming space for everyone new to MLU – especially national and international PhD students, postdocs, and faculty members. Our aim is to foster connections among newcomers and to help you settle in quickly in Halle and at the university.

Starting now, we warmly invite you to our regular get-togethers (Stammtisch), which take place every third Tuesday of the month from 7 PM at the Cafe _öö. In a relaxed and informal atmosphere, you can meet other newcomers, share experiences, and form new friendships.

Depending on demand, we also plan to expand our programme in the future. Possible activities could include city tours, museum visits, and more to explore the city and its surroundings together.

If you would like to find out more about the NCC or have any suggestions, please do not hesitate to contact us. We look forward to meeting you at the next Stammtisch and making the NCC vibrant once again!
