English language consultation

Many international doctoral candidates write their dissertation in English. However, English is not necessarily your mother tongue. This may mean an additional challenge on top of your scientific research. The PhD Network will again be offering an English language consultation with an English native speaker this semester.

Using excerpts  of your work, our consultant will point out frequent linguistic errors and make  suggestions for a better style of writing.

The consultations will take place from April to July 2018 in the rooms of the International Office twice per month from 3 pm till 5.30 pm.

Dates: 24.04. / 15.05. / 29.05. / 12.06. / 26.06. / 10.07.2018

To reserve a slot,  please send an email to and  indicate your preferred consultation day and time(s). You are asked to submit an  excerpt of 4-5 pages of the work you would like to have checked, 1 week before  the consultation. If you have any specific questions, we can also pass those on  to the consultant.
