German Language Courses

Did you know that German is the native language of over 90 million individuals and a foreign language spoken by another 80 million? German is the most widely used official language of the European Union and among the world's ten most popular languages. Science, literature, philosophy, theology, history, the arts in general have been influenced by German-speaking icons. Think of the works of Goethe, Kafka or Luther.

By learning German you will join a big community rich in several hundred years of culture and traditions. Learn German to master your daily life more easily, to make new friends and to explore German culture.

The PhD Network offers German language courses at all levels for international PhD students, postdocs and their partners. All classes are run by experienced teachers and take place twice a week in the evening. For more information about the times, venues and the content of the course levels see the text boxes and course descriptions below.
